We sell laminated glass products throughout the United States and Canada. One of the reasons we have been so successful is because we only laminate glass. Lami Glass does not manufacture any other glass products. If you are wondering what is laminated glass, here is a quick definition:
Laminated glass is a multifunctional glazing material that can be used in a variety of applications. It is manufactured permanently bonding two or more glass lites with polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayers, under heat and pressure, to create a single construction. If broken by impact, laminated glass tends to maintain the building envelope by remaining integral in its frame. This minimizes the risk of injury from sharp edges and flying or falling glass particles. It also strongly resists penetration of objects. Laminated glass is particularly suitable where it is important to ensure integrity of the whole sheet after breakage.
Laminated glass can be used as decorative glass, safety glass or architectural glass. The most common places laminated glass is used are: sloped and overhead glazing, museums displays, prisons, government buildings, jewelry stores windows and display cabinets, banks windows and teller screens, schools, hospitals, hotels, interior partitions and office buildings.
